10 COFFEE CAPSULE RECIPES

Our team is dedicated to serving you the best coffee, both at our cafes and in your own homes. We understand that life can sometimes get in the way and getting even a quick coffee can be a challenge. We are therefore bringing you our house favourites in biodegradable pods for your Nespresso capsule machine. Here are 10 different ways you can enjoy your caffeine fix.

 

RISTRETTO 

Ingredients

  • 1 BB Coffee capsule 

Directions

  1. Place cup under machine.
  2. Insert a capsule. 
  3. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Enjoy!

ESPRESSO

Ingredients

  • 1 BB Coffee capsule 
  • 20ml hot water

Directions

  1. Place cup under machine.
  2. Insert a capsule.
  3. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Add 20ml of hot water to your ristretto shot and enjoy!

 

SHORT BLACK

Ingredients

  • 1 BB Coffee capsule 
  • 50ml hot water

Directions

  1. Place cup under machine.
  2. Insert a capsule.
  3. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Add 50ml of hot water to your ristretto shot.
  5. Stir before drinking.
  6. Add more hot water if you prefer a long black and enjoy!

 

WHITE (HOT)

Ingredients

  • 1 BB coffee capsule 
  • 90ml milk of your choice

Directions

  1. Place cup under machine.
  2. Insert a capsule.
  3. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds.
  4. In another cup, warm up milk in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour the warm milk over the ristretto shot.
  6. If you like a tiny bit of froth, use a milk frother and spoon ½ cm of froth on top of your coffee and enjoy! 

 

CAPPUCCINO 

Ingredients

  • 1 BB coffee capsule 
  • 70ml milk of your choice 
  • Cocoa powder 

Directions

  1. Place cup under machine.
  2. Insert a capsule.
  3. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds
  4. In another cup, warm up milk in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  5. Use a milk frother (if you have one) to froth the milk till the volume doubles.
  6. Gently pour the frothed milk in a circular motion over the ristretto shot to mix evenly. 
  7. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top and enjoy!

 

ICED WHITE 

Ingredients 

  • 1 BB coffee capsule 
  • Glass of ice (Approximately 5-6 cubes)
  • 150ml milk of your choice 
  • 15ml flavoured syrup of your choice (*Optional - but we recommend caramel for a sweet treat!)

Directions

  1. Fill a 10-ounce glass with ice and milk. 
  2. Place a small cup under the machine
  3. Insert a capsule.
  4. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds
  5. Pour ristretto shot over the milk and ice.
  6. If you are making flavoured coffee, stir syrup of your choice into the extracted ristretto before pouring the mix over milk. 
  7. Stir well before drinking and enjoy!

TONIC ESPRESSO

Ingredients

  • 1 BB coffee capsule
  • Glass of ice (Approximately 5-6 cubes)
  • 50ml tonic water 
  • 1 wedge of lemon (To garnish) 

Directions

  1. Fill a 10-ounce glass with ice and tonic water. 
  2. Place a small cup under the machine.
  3. Insert a capsule.
  4. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds
  5. Pour ristretto shot over tonic water.
  6. Place the lemon wedge on the rim of the glass to garnish.
  7. Stir well before drinking and enjoy!

 

ICED COFFEE QUENCHER

Ingredients

  • 1 BB coffee capsule 
  • Glass of ice (Approximately 5-6 cubes) 
  • 15ml simple syrup 
  • 30ml fresh lemon juice (From one lemon) 

Directions

  1. To make simple syrup, mix 1 part white sugar to 1 part boiling water. Stir and mix until sugar dissolves. 
  2. Add fresh lemon juice to simple syrup and give it a stir. 
  3. Fill a 10-ounce glass with ice and water, and stir in syrup mix.
  4. Place a small cup under the machine.
  5. Insert a capsule.
  6. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds
  7. Pour ristretto shot over the ice and water.
  8. Stir well before drinking and enjoy!

 

COFFEE + TEA (YUAN YANG)

Ingredients

  • 1 BB coffee capsule 
  • Glass of ice (Approximately 5-6 cubes)
  • 1 tea bag of your choice
  • 15ml sugar syrup (Optional)
  • Side of milk or creamer (Optional) 

Directions

  1. Steep the tea bag in 100ml of hot water for 4-5 minutes. 
  2. Fill a 10-ounce glass with ice to the top.
  3. Pour tea into glass once it is ready. 
  4. Place a small cup under the machine.
  5. Insert a capsule.
  6. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds
  7. Pour ristretto shot over the iced tea.
  8. Add sugar syrup and a dash of milk if you desire.
  9. Enjoy!

AFFOGATO

Ingredients

  • 1 BB coffee capsule
  • 1 scoop french vanilla ice cream 
  • Cocoa powder or chocolate shavings

Directions

  1. Scoop vanilla ice cream into a cup and place it under the machine. 
  2. Insert a capsule.
  3. Press the espresso (small) button once and let it extract for 10-12 seconds over the ice cream.
  4. Sprinkle cocoa powder or grated chocolate shavings on top to finish.
  5. Enjoy! 

 

These recipes are just some ways we like to brew our coffee and you can definitely switch the them up to fit your preferences. Extract more capsules if you want a bolder taste, or add more milk or water if you're craving for something lighter.
